Classic & Cool Whole Home Remodel

Melton collaborated with Susan Hall at Buttercup Home Custom Interiors in executing this gorgeous North Boulder whole home remodel. The remodel included a kitchen, fireplace, home office, mudroom, and primary bathroom.

The kitchen remodel includes a cool white backsplash in the kitchen. This detail beautifully compliments the cool tones throughout the rest of the kitchen’s tiles and kitchen cabinets. The highlight and most significant feature of this kitchen remodel has not one, but two kitchen islands. This allows for more working space, and more room to makes hosting more enjoyable. The brass detailing on the cabinets and kitchen sink is rich and warm, giving the perfect detail to this regal kitchen. We love a kitchen that can accommodate a wine fridge and mini-fridge for the family who loves to entertain and enjoys hosting. This kitchen includes open shelving while allowing for plenty of storage.

Leading through the kitchen into the living room is the renovated gas fireplace. Rich walnut shelving surrounds the natural and white tiled fireplace—a simple yet modern detail. 

This home renovation included an update to the home office. Complete with built-in shelving, a classic detail with a modern touch- the brass hardware. Additionally, the family’s mudroom got an update with clean lines and beautiful built-ins. Creating a landing space for this family was essential to have space where they could leave the stress, dirt, and germs from their day behind.

Lastly, the primary bathroom received a natural and clean refresh. The light grey subway tiles add the perfect amount of subtle color to this serene bathroom renovation. White honeycomb tiles add a spa-like feeling throughout the entire bathroom. No primary bathroom is complete without the perfect tub for a relaxing night at home. Again, the brass detail of the ink and bathtub hardware gives the most natural and straightforward bathroom warmth and richness.
