We’re celebrating a well-deserved honor for one of our own! Our interior designer Marissa M. has been selected for the NKBA | KBIS Thirty Under 30 Class of 2027, recognizing emerging talent in the kitchen and bath industry. The National Kitchen & Bath Association announced the class in October, with honorees set to be celebrated at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas, February 2–4, 2027.
A Floor Plan and a New Direction
Marissa’s interest in design began with an unexpected opportunity. While recovering from a torn ACL at age 12, she downloaded a floor plan program on her family’s computer to pass the time. That simple distraction introduced her to a career she would come to love.
“I am so lucky I’ve been able to turn my passion into a career,” Marissa says.
Classic Details and Everyday Life
An East Coaster at heart, Marissa gravitates toward traditional interiors and draws inspiration from filmmaker Nancy Meyers. Think inviting kitchens with familiar materials and details that feel at home together.
“My dream kitchen consists of inset cabinetry, soapstone counters, beadboard and subway tile – totally classic!” she says.
Her love of design also comes with a practical focus on how a home works for the people who live there. Early career challenges sharpened her ability to find thoughtful material alternatives, work within project budgets, and guide clients through design decisions remotely. For Marissa, the most rewarding part of the work is the lasting change it can bring to someone’s home and routine.
More to Come
Looking ahead, Marissa hopes to earn her Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer credential and one day design a home of her own. For now, we’re proud to celebrate this recognition and the care she brings to our team and our clients.
Join us in congratulating Marissa and the entire Thirty Under 30 Class of 2027!
