North Boulder Home Remodel
This major home overhaul in North Boulder is coming right along. The homeowners wanted to update the kitchen, baths and add a laundry room—among other improvements. They chose Melton to be their Boulder home remodeler because of our design-build model that allows them to work with one company from design right through construction.
The home was the victim of a series of past remodels that led to a disjointed layout. The flow of the entire main floor was interrupted by a central staircase. Moving the stairs allowed for an open floor plan of integrated spaces.
The homeowners wanted an open layout and modern updates. To create a cohesive look throughout the home, the Melton design team worked closely with the homeowners to choose transitional-style cabinetry with updated, modern finishes.
This dated kitchen was dark and closed off from the adjacent areas.
Light painted cabinetry reflects natural light, while an oversized island with seating creates the connection to the living and dining spaces the cook of the family was seeking.
The homeowners also sought updated looks for the bathrooms in their home. As their Boulder home remodeler, Melton’s design team set out to deliver a unified look that would flow throughout the spaces.
Dated cabinetry and finishes are replaced with transitional cabinetry with sleek quartz countertops.
Without changing the layout of the space, the Melton design team was able to deliver a completely new look and feel to this master bath using a contemporary color palette and tiles.
