Carpenter

Description

The Carpenter position is an artisan with the skill and experience necessary to perform a variety of general construction activities. This position must be able to complete exceptional quality of work in an efficient manner with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions

• Performs tasks on all areas and aspects of construction projects.
• Performs quality work at all times and willingly rework projects as requested.
• Completes projects on-budget, on-schedule, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates with Project Manager for material needed to complete work.
• Must be able to lay out, measure, plan, and execute work activities.
• Must have good organizational skills and daily planning habits
• Communicates daily with Lead Carpenter and/or Project Manager with regards to daily accomplishments and next day’s assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in the use of a variety of power and hand tools.
• Possesses a high level of professionalism in interacting with clients.
• Ability to track time and work activities through electronic tracking system.
• Ability to use Smart Sheets for schedules and task list updating.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to follow and practice safety protocols.

Education & Experience

• Preferably 3+ years of carpentry experience.
• Experience in framing, finish and trim for interior and exterior trim.
• Able to read blueprints.

Work Environment

• Must be able to operate carpentry tools.
• Must have a positive can do attitude
• Must be able to follow and practice safety protocols

Physical Demand

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk and communicate, use hands/fingers, and reach with arms.
• The position requires the ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.

Other Requirements

• Must have an extensive set of personal tools which can be used on the job.
• Must have a reliable transportation to reach client locations.

Position Pay Information:

Full Time (40 hours)
$25-$30 / Hour
