Boulder design-build firm recognized for Mountain Modern Revival and Everyday Elegance remodels
BOULDER, CO — June 30, 2026 — Melton Design Build brought home four honors from the 2026 NKBA Rocky Mountain Peak Awards, celebrating standout kitchen, bath, and interior design projects from across the region.
The awards recognized two Melton whole-home remodels: Mountain Modern Revival and Everyday Elegance. Mountain Modern Revival earned three trophies, including 1st Place – Most Dramatic Makeover (Bath), 2nd Place – Primary Bath, and 2nd Place – Dining Room. Everyday Elegance was awarded 3rd Place – Powder Bath.
Mountain Modern Revival reimagined a Boulder foothills home for modern mountain living, opening the floor plan, expanding sightlines, and creating a stronger connection to the surrounding landscape. The award-winning spaces balance warm wood, stone, and custom details with thoughtful updates that support everyday comfort, gathering, and retreat.
Everyday Elegance was designed for a young family with school-aged kids, pairing meticulous design with everyday functionality. Warm natural materials, a soft neutral palette, and crisp black accents create a home that feels polished, welcoming, and ready for daily life.
The NKBA Peak Awards are presented by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association and honor excellence in design across a range of kitchen, bath, and interior categories. This year’s awards event was held June 18 at Social Capitol in Arvada.
These honors reflect the collaborative work of Melton’s design, architecture, production, and trade partner teams, along with the homeowners who entrusted Melton with their homes.
