I want to do what I love; what I am passionate about; and I am passionate about kitchen and bath design.
I am thrilled to have joined the Melton Design Build team. I enjoy working closely with architects, project managers, carpenters, and other trade professionals to bring a client’s vision to life. In my role, I focus on clients’ wants, challenges, and needs. Then I interpret these requirements into actual product or design features and deliver them in a beautiful way. Prior to Melton, I was a top designer at Wedgewood Cabinetry in Louisville CO. There, I would layout kitchens and bathrooms, select finishes, and counsel homeowners through the process. I would also offer extensive design services to capture client requirements, discuss functional zones within a space, build entire construction sets, and select finishes above and beyond just the cabinets. I always like challenging the norm to find new and different materials to incorporate or ways to design a unique feature. I pride myself on staying up to date with the latest design trends and product knowledge so that I can help my clients make the best choice. I have been honored to win first place bathroom and third place kitchen in the Rocky Mountain National Kitchen and Bath regional design competition. In addition, I won third place nationally for my kitchen in 2019.
Prior to design, I built a career in product marketing for the fast-paced technology industry based out of Silicon Valley. This may seem unrelated, but my professional skills are invaluable to any industry which needs to conceive of an idea, work with others to implement a plan, solve complex problems, and drive multi-faceted projects to success. Thereafter, I focused on creating a family that is united, happy, and operates to its fullest potential. This is always a work in progress, but I continue to have first-hand experience on how to focus on function and aesthetics to positively impact daily life. In 2016, it was time for me to evaluate “what’s next” and determine what I can truly spend hours doing. After a year of self-reflection, I enrolled in the NKBA-accredited kitchen and bath program at Front Range Community College. This specific trade degree is an excellent complement to my Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from Villanova University. Since then, I haven’t looked back and feel fortunate to have found “that thing”.
In summary, nothing excites me more than a client who tells me that they just love the space that I designed for them. I look forward to working with you on your next project.
