What is Melton Cares?
Few things change the quality of our lives like the built spaces we spend them in. The Melton Cares program was created to leverage our skills and resources in order to address housing inequities within the communities we serve. Each year, we provide a pro bono renovation that enhances accessibility, safety, and comfort for a local individual or family in need. As a Certified B Corp, we’re committed to using business as a force for good, raising the bar in our industry, and leading by example.
Our 2025 Project
This year, we’re partnering with our trade community on a transformative project for a deserving family in Longmont. Their son, an energetic 11-year-old, faces daily challenges with mobility in their two-story home. Our team will be redesigning their main floor to include a ground-level bedroom, accessible bathroom, and widened hallways to support their son’s independence.
Project Highlights
Create an Open-Plan Bedroom-Bathroom with no barriers.
Relocate Laundry Facilities for improved ease of use.
Install a Roll-In Shower and Grab Bars to ensure accessibility.
Widen Doorways and Hallways for easier navigation.

ADA Ramp Installation
2023
We partnered with There With Care to provide a crucial home modification for a family in Greeley. Their child, facing an extended hospital stay, required wheelchair accessibility in order to return home. We donated our time, talent, and resources to build an ADA-compliant ramp, ensuring their home was wheelchair-accessible, enabling the family to welcome their child back in a safe, accessible environment.
Paige’s Room Makeover
2019
We teamed up with There With Care to transform Paige’s bedroom into a healing sanctuary that reflects her resilience as a young ambassador from Children’s Hospital Colorado. This project aimed not only to enhance her recovery at home, but also to strengthen community support for families facing medical challenges, fostering an environment of care and support through thoughtful design.
