Kitchen & Bath Refresh
This project refreshed two highly used spaces with a shared material language of warm wood, expressive marble, brass accents, and soft natural light. In the kitchen, the remodel focused on improving everyday function with new cabinetry, durable work surfaces, updated plumbing, and a generous island that supports cooking, gathering, and casual meals. In the primary bath, the design created a more restorative experience with a freestanding tub, floating vanity, steam shower, handmade tile, and layered brass fixtures.
The Center of the Kitchen
The island gives the kitchen its center of gravity. Its large marble surface creates space for prep, serving, and seating, while the cooktop keeps the work zone connected to the rest of the room. Warm wood cabinetry below softens the scale of the stone and adds practical storage where it is needed most.
Open Shelving and Everyday Texture
Painted brick, floating wood shelves, and a long run of marble counter bring texture and warmth to the kitchen’s back wall. The shelves offer space for objects that feel collected and personal, while the full wall of windows keeps the room bright throughout the day.
A Bath Built Around Light
In the primary bath, the freestanding tub sits beneath a wide window, creating a calm focal point within the room. Soft tile, pale stone, and brass fixtures keep the space warm and quiet, while the open layout allows each feature to have room to breathe.
A Layered Shower Experience
The shower brings together the most tactile materials in the project. Handmade tile wraps the walls and ceiling, while marble defines the bench, floor, and feature wall. Brass fixtures, a recessed niche, and a steam system turn the shower into a more restorative daily routine.
Floating Vanity, Lasting Warmth
The floating vanity keeps the bath feeling open while adding a strong horizontal line across the room. Wood cabinetry, round mirrors, brass hardware, and marble counters create a balanced mix of function and softness, with storage built into a clean and uncluttered composition.
Together, the kitchen and primary bath feel connected without being identical. Each space was designed around how it is used every day, with durable materials, thoughtful details, and a quiet warmth that carries through the home.
