Whole Home Remodel
This whole-home interior remodel reworked a functionally dated residence within its existing footprint. These homeowners purchased the home with the intention of making it their long-term residence and wanted to personalize it with a cleaner, more modern and contemporary aesthetic. Their goals were practical as well as visual: improve daily function, introduce a lighter and more neutral palette with selective pops of color, and create a home that better supports cooking, gathering, privacy, family life, and entertaining.
Carefully Crafted Cohesion
The goal was to improve the home from within rather than add square footage. By removing restrictive curved walls, the design refines the layout to improve functionality and usability. Now, the open-concept main level works better for cooking, entertaining, and every-day living. New hardwood floors, baseboards, interior doors, casing, and more connect spaces that previously felt fragmented and detached.
Mint Condition Kitchen
A modern, playful aesthetic emerges through a contemporary cool mint green backsplash and layered mix of high-gloss and matte finishes. The result is a bold, personality-driven space that celebrates the family’s colorful art collection and their love of gathering and entertaining. Integrated display shelving within the range hood creates a focal point and provides a dedicated space for curated art and projects, while a waterfall-edge island countertop reinforces a clean, modern aesthetic.
Homey Harmony
Clean lines, wood accents, and matte black finishes come together to create a contemporary oasis for the whole family. This light, bright retreat carries the house’s new aesthetic into it, maintaining a sense of homey harmony.
The finished home feels modern, warm, and personal with an improved flow, more purposeful spaces, and a calmer backdrop for this family’s colorful art and everyday life.
