Kitchen Remodel
This mid-century home in Boulder’s Park Lake neighborhood boasts an expansive lot with sweeping views of the front range, but like most homes from the period, the interior spaces were beginning to feel dated. The homeowners contacted Melton to explore kitchen remodel options with the goal of improving the aesthetic appeal as well as the overall functionality. A previous remodeling project had opened up the space and provided the perfect canvas to design and build the kitchen of our clients’ dreams.
Seating for Guests
The homeowners like to entertain guests at various times throughout the year with gatherings ranging from 8 to 80 guests! With this in mind, we set about maximizing the prep area and freestanding island and optimizing the appliance configuration.
Eye Catching Details
We removed the microwave over the stove to allow more space to enjoy the all-new stainless steel 48″ Wolf duel-fuel range with a hammered copper vent hood and brushed bronze pot filler. We replaced the existing dual-level island counter with a single slab of deep, glassy black Cambria quartz and expanded the island seating from 4 to 6 to allow more informal dining.
Who wants Coffee?
White maple cabinets and ceramic backsplash lighten up the space. The addition of a coffee bar also creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

“I am very happy with Melton DB and would recommend them to anyone wanting to do a remodel. They are a highly professional company from start to finish with conscientious and kind staff and trade partners. When our job was finished I was sad to see them go, glad to no longer have construction going on in my home, but sad to not see the people each day.”
