Split Level Suite

Boulder, CO

We recently had the pleasure of working on this 4 bed, 2 bath 2400-square-foot split-level home built in 1966 in Boulder’s Table Mesa neighborhood. The main objective of this project was to create an addition that seamlessly connected two levels and update both the exterior and interior spaces.

Our clients, a dynamic couple who both work from home, were eagerly awaiting more room for their offices and living areas. Having owned the home for almost two decades, they saw this as the perfect opportunity to not only expand their living space but also tackle a range of other improvements, including new siding for enhanced curb appeal and upgraded insulation and air sealing for energy efficiency.

The new addition over the existing garage features a stylish exterior with cool gray tones and batten and board siding, seamlessly blending with the existing structure. Inside, the primary bedroom boasts a vaulted ceiling, and it seamlessly connects to two offices and a walk-in closet on the upper floor. The primary bath was remodeled with geometric gray floor tiles, natural wood finishes, a lighted mirror, and a floating vanity. The secondary bathroom features vibrant green geometric floor tiles and white cabinets with gold finishes, creating a fun and harmonious space. Throughout the home, new windows and skylights were installed to flood the interiors with abundant natural light.

The exterior updates were equally impressive, featuring a new sloped roof over the front entry, adorned with a vibrant orange-red door and natural wood tones. A cedar wood screen, ceiling treatment, and bench were added to the entry, providing a warm and welcoming ambiance. Additionally, the garage was enlarged, and the whole house received new board and batten siding, enhancing its overall appeal.

This remodeling project was a delightful journey, with a team passionate about creating spaces that perfectly match the clients’ needs and personalities. We’re thrilled to have helped this lovely couple turn their long-awaited dreams into reality, transforming their beloved home into a beautiful and functional haven for years to come.
